The Central Corridor line was completed in 1994 and cost $115 million. It connects the Five Points district to downtown Denver and runs along the BNSF Colorado Joint Line right-of-way. The Central Corridor opened on October 7, 1994. It was the first light-rail system in the Mountain and Plains States. Ridership grew rapidly after opening, with over 16,000 trips made each week. The A Line’s construction has been a challenge. While a major construction project, there are some challenges that come with it.
